Make a Wish

As the title suggest this post includes my collection of make a wish deals. Ever wondered how and why did the saying of ‘make a wish’ got associated with some objects around us? If you think this is the place for your answer, well I am sure I can’t help you overcome these delusions. I personally love looking around for these small treasures that give a moment of thrill to people wishing and hoping their dreams may come true by doing gestures like – throwing coins in water bodies, tying knots, or as simple as blowing off candles from cakes.
The small pleasures of both child and adulthood!

The World of Snow white

I relate snow with a world of fairyland – Beautiful, pure, peaceful and happy. My first encounter with snow was joyous. I remember the rush of excitement in my body with mere glimpse of teeny-tiny snow. I was jet lagged that time and snow made me wide awake, filled with joy of a 2 year old. Its been three years or more from that time and still every time I see snow I get the same feel, a feel of happiness like no other.Snow brings out both kid and adult in me at the same time. The kid in me wishes to snow fight, create and decorate snow man, stick out the tongue and catch snowflakes and the adult feels a pristine bliss of purity that gives immense peace in the midst of busy life.

Ahh I love and adore The Snow !

The Magnificent Sun

Sun is the brightest star in the solar system. It is worshipped in form of both God and Goddess in different  traditions. In Hindu tradition, Surya or the Sun has a deep significance. It is worshipped as the brightest star ruling the Navgraha or the nine planets . Hindu astrology is determined by the positions of the planet with respect to the sun. ‘Suryanamaskar’ or Sun salutation is one of the important aasan’s of Yoga. Sun is considered friend of the men civilization nourishing it with most of the basic needs.
For me Sun is a sign of energy, wisdom, glory and warmth. Sun gives a message that whatever rises, sets. Fierce Sun of summer replaced by gentle sun of winter symbolizes that power and brilliance cannot be equal at the all times. Sun presents us with a hope – a hope of life, a warmth of divine, a ray of light to lead us away from dark.
